Know what to verify before you trust a vendor.

Purity is only one part of the picture. We look at measured quantity, independently verifiable reports, endotoxin testing, batch history, business accountability, where a product is actually manufactured and how it is handled in transit. For vendors selling pens, we also show the device format when it can be verified so you know whether our pen guidance applies.

What we verify

Each vendor is shown against the same criteria so you can see exactly why a check passes, fails or remains incomplete.

Purity at or above 99%

Look for recent batch-specific purity results from a laboratory whose report can be independently checked.

Peptide quantity accurately represented

Purity does not tell you how much material is actually present. The measured quantity should match what is represented for the batch.

Verifiable third-party lab reports

Reports should be independently verifiable and clearly tied to the vendor, batch or lot being reviewed.

Verifiable endotoxin testing

Endotoxin testing answers a different question from purity. We look for batch-level evidence rather than a generic testing claim.

Historical batches shown

A continuing archive is more useful than one good report. It helps show whether testing is consistent over time.

Physical business address listed

A verifiable legal entity and physical business address improve accountability. An address alone does not prove product quality.

Traceable manufacturing & handling

Higher confidence requires a traceable manufacturing site, accountable business identity, honest origin disclosure and handling appropriate to the product. Some overseas supply chains, including parts of the Chinese pharmaceutical and chemical sector, have documented oversight and data-integrity failures; that makes origin a risk signal, not a blanket verdict. A local warehouse or mailing address is not evidence of where synthesis happened.

Origin & traceability

China and other opaque source markets deserve extra verification.

Manufacturing standards, inspection access and regulatory oversight are not equally transparent in every market. China is an important example: FDA and the U.S. Government Accountability Office have documented persistent challenges in foreign-drug oversight, including inspection backlogs and the historical use of advance notice for many foreign inspections.

FDA has also issued recent warning letters to specific Chinese drug and testing facilities for serious CGMP, laboratory-record and data-integrity problems. These are documented examples, not proof that every Chinese manufacturer is poor quality. A transparent Chinese manufacturer with strong batch evidence can be more credible than an opaque UK or US reseller.

What should materially increase concern is concealed or misrepresented origin. If a seller presents Chinese-manufactured material as UK- or US-manufactured, that is a directly verifiable transparency failure. It does not prove every other claim is false, but it reasonably lowers confidence in harder-to-check claims such as identity, purity, quantity, sterility, laboratory provenance and batch history.

Treat origin as a risk signal. Require traceable manufacturing, batch-matched independent testing, honest origin disclosure and a handling chain that can be verified.

Documented FDA warning examples from China

These examples show why source-country transparency and independent verification matter. They do not mean every Chinese manufacturer has the same problems.

2024 · Sichuan Deebio Pharmaceutical

FDA cited significant CGMP deviations and data-integrity concerns, including microbiology test results that were not documented contemporaneously.

2025 · China Pharmaceutical University testing center

FDA cited incomplete laboratory records for API testing, including missing sample-preparation, test-procedure and system-suitability documentation.

2025 · Chengdu Brilliant Biopharmaceutical

FDA cited significant API CGMP deviations and stated that the facility had not demonstrated process validation for semaglutide API manufactured at the site.

Pen buyers: verify the device, not just the peptide

Ask the vendor exactly which pen they are sending.

“Peptide pen” is not one universal device. Before using click calculations or injection instructions, confirm the pen type, cartridge volume, click scale or dose-selector system, compatible needle, priming steps, storage conditions and shipping method.
